Pros: Good Newwz has a star-studded cast with great comedy and a pretty decent plot. Throughout the movie, every actor did a spectacular job but the star of the film was Akshay Kumar. Every line he delivered brought laughter throughout the theater and his acting was consistently on point. To add on to this, Dilijit Dosanjh also was extremely enjoyable to watch as he played Honey Batra, a dense yet constantly optimistic rapper. The chemistry between these two very different characters was the cause of many enjoyable moments throughout the movie. Another example of great chemistry came in the form of Honey's wife Monika, played by Kiara Advani. As you see these two compete with Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, it is very refreshing as nowadays you don't see many films provide this level of chemistry in Bollywood, where two very very different personalities clash and it is extremely fun to watch the two couple's relationships progress as they slowly become friends. Although the movie had a lot of comedy, it also had just the right amount of heartwarming moments revolving around children and motherhood. The heartwarming tone of motherhood and the comedic tone surrounding the entire film blend really well together, which in turn produces a solid film.

Cons: The biggest problem for this film was that the other cast members didn't deliver as well as they should have. Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar should have had really good chemistry together as they are both experienced actors who have done incredibly well in the past, and they play a married couple in the film. Unfortunately, the two of them on screen did not truly produce the chemistry that I was looking for. It felt as though every time Akshay Kumar does something comedic Kareena Kapoor ruins it with her snobby attitude and it takes the charm of some of the jokes away. To add on to this, some of the jokes made are a little childish and while that may be okay sometimes when the same joke keeps getting repeated, it gets very redundant and tiring.

Final Thoughts: Good Newwz is a very comedic film with Akshay Kumar being the star of the show. Most of the jokes land with the audience and work extremely well with heartwarming moments about motherhood and the beauty of raising a child. Although sometimes the jokes can get redundant and not every actor/actress is as good as they can be, all in all, Good Newwz is a great film to watch.
