Miles Morales, Peter Parker, and Spider Gwen

Details: MPAA Rating: PG                Release Date: December 14, 2018               Cast: Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Nicolas Cage, Shameik Moore   Synopsis: Miles Morales is just a regular kid living in Earth 1610. After getting bit by a radioactive spider and witnessing the death of Spider-Man, he vows to protect New York and stop Kingpin from destroying his home,  but things get complicated when multiple Spider-Men (and women) appear in New York. Now, it's up to Miles to discover what it truly means to be a hero, and work with the other Spider-Men to stop Kingpin and return home. Pros: This movie is truly a work of art. I know I say that about a lot of movies but honestly, Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse has executed every aspect of a movie perfectly. The visuals were mind blowing. From the presentation of the different realities to the different Spider people, this movie does an excellent job transporting the viewer into the world (or should I say worlds) of Spider-Man. It literally feels like you are in a comic book. Into the Spider-Verse also has a great script and an even better cast delivering it. All of the Spider people have their own unique personality yet they all have the same urge of defending their beloved city, that shows you that they are all Spider-Man. The script has excellent humor, heart, and really makes you empathize with each of the characters. Although this movie has a great cast, storyline, script, and animations, my favorite part of this whole movie was the film score. For those of you who don't know what a movie's score is, it's essentially their own soundtrack. Into the Spider-Verse has my favorite soundtrack. It's a blend of hip hop, pop, techno, and EDM. Even the background music for each of the villains and chase scenes are made and executed perfectly and gives the movie the perfect tone for each scene. For the chase scenes, you feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins. For all the sad scenes, you can't help but feel sadness yourself, and for the victory scenes, all you want to do is pump your fist in the air in triumph.  Cons: Honestly I can't think of a single one. Star Rating: 10/10 Final Thoughts: Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse is not only the best Spider-Man movie, but it is also one of the best movies. It has great animations, excellent cast members that deliver an excellent script, and on top of all that, has arguably, the best Film Score ever. It felt really good having a fresh take on an old story and I recommend this movie to every kid and adult.
